Parents of children up thru 6 years of age are invited to prepare for the Baptism of their child into the life of Christ. Preparation classes are offered once a month which parents and the child's godparents attend. This class covers an understanding of the Sacraments of Initiation and the life of faith from an adult perspective as well as a discussion about raising children in the faith.
Please contact the parish office at 206-362-1545 or parish@ckseattle.org to schedule a preparation class and Baptism date for your family.
After an initial meeting with the baptismal coordinator to fill out paperwork, parents and godparents attend one preparation class, and the Baptism.
Youth and Adult Baptisms
Youth above the age of 7 and adults prepare for Baptism through the RCIA process (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). Please see our Christian Initiation for Adults page to find out more about the RCIA classes. Youth are encouraged to contact the parish office to set up an adapted version of RCIA to adequately prepare them for the life of faith at their age level. These Baptisms take place at the Easter Vigil Mass.
